Speaker 1:

Welcome to Leading Her Way with your host and business guru, Nakesha King. This podcast is the ultimate destination for women, creative entrepreneurs, who want to break free from burnout. If you are overwhelmed by client demands and feel like you're doing this all alone, you, my friend, are in the right place alone. You, my friend, are in the right place Now. Let's dive in for steps to take back your time and simplify your workflow. All right, Nikisha, take it away.

Nikisha King:

Hello, gorgeous, how are you? Welcome back to Leading Her Way podcast. Of course it's Nikisha, your disruptive coach. I'm here to do exactly that. I love showing up on Leading Her Way podcast for iconic women CEOs. Hello out there, I'm coming to transform you, disrupt you and love on you, and it's a pleasure to have that with you. Let's talk about clarity in your messaging.

Nikisha King:

Last week, I gave you a little bit of a reality check and I wanna be able to give you some action so that you can actually get clear with your messaging and let you know about a client that I'm actually working with who had a challenge in this. So we wanna be able to do sales that feel good, right, no more salesy, no more what they call them car salesmen I don't know that's like so worn out, but you want to be able to create an opportunity where you're inviting someone in rather than selling them. An invitation is always sweet, but then again the person who's interpreting it can interpret it sour in every way. When we are in pain and pain doesn't mean physical pain, but emotional pain, distress, confusion we do not take action. How can we? When I was in pain, I had all the indecision and I suffered from it and I blamed everyone for it, and no longer will you or me blame others for our inability to make a decision. As iconic women CEOs, we are responsible for us. We are leaders. We are human yes, we are but we're also evolving and we're resilient, and that's what's going to help us invite people into our sales through our messaging voice and clarity.

Nikisha King:

So, because the truth is, no one can buy from you if they are not clear on what you're even offering. Let's think about that. That is the truth. So I have a client who is selling a couple of different opportunities or offers more than two, so let's say between six and eight and they love the opportunity to be open, they love the opportunity to be giving different offers so they can meet different people needs. And in doing that, when they're going out and they're in networking opportunities, they're meeting someone new and they go.

Nikisha King:

Well, what do you do? They get flustered. They get really flustered, unsure how to even express what they offer because they don't have a clear offer. Now, here's the thing as a business owner, that doesn't work. Even as a newbie, a seasoned owner, it doesn't work right, it doesn't do anything for you. But here's the truth. None of the offers that they're selling is really making them any money, because there's no consistency, there is no transformation for the person. And don't get me wrong, the person who's getting that offer is having a transformation, but the person who's selling it don't know what the transformation is because it's not repetitive. They're not able to measure the success of their offer because only one or a couple people experience it, because they're producing different types of offers.

Nikisha King:

When we do that, we are not able to get really factual feedback about our offer or truthful feedback. So that's why business owners who are really into owning a business and growing it create one offer, because when you create that one offer, you could put your attention into it. You can get very clear on the market it serves and you can get feedback on how to make it better. Because you're not in the world of business for yourself. You're in the world of business to serve your market, your community, your people. Doing eight offers, six offers, three offers. It's not about being everywhere and being everything for everyone, because that's how you feel like you can serve. It's literally taking the opportunity to serve the people you love and care for and get feedback so you can make the experience better. This is why it's important on being clear about your offer. So even when someone has six or eight offers, they're working really hard. They are showing up, doing all the work serving on what they believe is the highest level.

Nikisha King:

And when they do this and they go out in the world and they meet someone and they kind of express what they do, that person cannot even connect. That person doesn't even know what they're talking about. But they go oh, that sounds nice, you know that, you know that. Look. Oh yeah, that sounds nice. Or oh, that sounds good. I've had a couple of those and I was like damn, that fell flat. It did. And some people thought it was the person not hearing them or being sure about them or the way they speak. And I go it's none of that. It's the clarity of your offer. It's missing. And what happens in these situations is that you're not able to do a high touch experience, you're not able to give your all.

Nikisha King:

So what we want to do is we want to make it simple, and that's what this episode is about helping you with a couple of pointers on how to create a simple sell. And why does simplicity sell, sell. And why does simplicity sell? Because people understand it quicker. So here's what I want you to take away from how to make selling simple.

Nikisha King:

People buy clarity. They don't need options, they need solutions. And this is the the thing when we give people too many options, they become confused. They're not sure where to start, what to do or take action because we've kind of overwhelmed them. Even if it's only two, they don't know what to do. It's's just like your offer.

Nikisha King:

If you have six offers in front of someone, one, they don't know why or what you're going to do to solve the problem, because you have different solutions for different problems and they're not going to feel like you get their problem. And if you don't get my problem, I don't trust you, because this is not about you, it's about everyone. Say it with me. It's about me, it's not a you. You know what I mean. Like, what I'm trying to tell you is no one cares about you as a business owner. All they care about is a solution you can give to them so they can get transformed in the time, so, whatever pain they're going through, they can stop living in that pain. We all live in pain. When I pay $20,000, $30,000, I am investing in someone to help me with the pain, and my pain is not physical pain. My pain is I want to build a community. I want to build a $1 million company and I know what I was doing before will not build that. So I'm going to invest 20, 30, 40, $50,000 in that tool, that understanding, so I can go out and serve my community. In other words, I love investing in me so I could be better for you. Get it. That's what it is. So we want people to buy clarity, not options, but solutions.

Nikisha King:

An offer isn't just a product. It's a promise. It is the result. It is the transformation, the result, it is the transformation. What we offer in the service industry is something that everyone may not physically tangibly receive in their hand. It's not like going to the dollar store and picking up a candy bar, paying for it and walking out with the candy bar. As a service provider, your offer is an actual change in that person's day-to-day life that will give them access to even more joy. That's why we're needed. Products are temporary. Once I eat that candy bar, it's gone. That elevated feeling I had was short-lived. It's a product. How many of you shop, buy something, was looking forward to it, so happy you got it. When you got it, you used it maybe once or twice and no longer did it serve you. But a service provider can transform you. So an offer isn't just a product.

Nikisha King:

Third, why simplicity sells. So when you focus, your energy compounds, if I focus on one offer, all of my energy triples, quadruples. Do you not understand? I have one offer. I have several clients in this one offer, in this one offer. They are all being transformed by the offer. My clients don't transform the offer. My offer transforms them. I can add 50, 100 people to the offer and I am still transforming them because the offer has all of my energy that is compounding and people are getting that transformation because it's so good that they love it. One offer creates that. It's why simplicity sells.

Nikisha King:

Right, your audience doesn't need options. They need clarity. You need to create one solution that will change their life and that's what my coaches did for me. One solution Gretchen did that, the Life Coach School did that. I had Debbie do that, chloe Austin they did this for me. They showed up. They saw that I needed something. They offered me help. I raised my hand for the help. I paid them the money for the help. I got exactly what I wanted, and more. And then I was able to keep producing an offer that meets the needs of my clients. That's why you're here, that's why you're doing what you're doing.

Nikisha King:

So let's break it down how to build your signature offer in three steps. One, define the problem it solves. When a client comes to you your ideal client what is it that they're looking for? Is it clarity? Is it confidence? Is it a transformation, a system, a visual brand? What is it that they're looking for? Your ideal client? Not the entire world, your ideal client.

Nikisha King:

Two, create a result-focused transformation. So don't just sell six coaching calls. Sell what happens after. So, for example, from overwhelmed to organized right, build a client system in six weeks. What is it that you're building? What's the transformation you're giving? From overwhelmed to organized right, get a transformation in six weeks. Be clear.

Nikisha King:

Three, name it, price it and package it. This is where you wrap it in that beautiful gift and put a red I don't know why I love, but red, red bow on it, so that they can enjoy it. Give it a name that invokes emotion or clarity. Don't get too caught up in the depth of your thing. So, if you do spiritual work, don't be like it's a spiritual mechanism machine. No people, no one knows that language, but you and the people you work with. I had to learn that and that still is hard for me. But give them a transformational name that they understand and they can see the transformation within eight seconds, right.

Nikisha King:

Two price it based on value, not time. Being a business owner. We're not here to sell hours. If you're still selling hours, get in the show notes, click on that link, schedule a call and let's talk about the difference between your value and your time. If you're not sure about that, second second, I am in. Second sell your value, not your time. No more hourly rates. Oh, I'm sorry if you're doing that right now. That is a cringe moment, but that's a moment I lived, so I understand. If you don't know better, you cannot do better. So decide to make a change in that and name it, price it and package it. Third package it. Set a clear time frame for your community.

Nikisha King:

Like I said, when I create a container, my container is not to lock you in. I give my clients 30 days to find a door out Exit. I give my clients 30 days to find a door out exit. I give myself 30 days to find a door out If I don't like what's going on. I don't want to be a part of this. I'm exiting too, but I give them a beautiful container because I want them to actually get the transformation. So my clients work with me six months, 12 months and 18 months. They get an opportunity to enjoy this experience and after that they get to transition into another opportunity. Sometimes clients don't want to leave. They actually like being with you and if you see that, create something for them.

Nikisha King:

So if you're able to create a one pager or a social media content that if someone who's never met you lands on your page and in eight seconds they know exactly what you do, then you have become clear in your messaging. Now, that is what clarity is. That is what we sell. So what are you going to do? How are you going to start? So, friend, let's be real for a little bit. This is where I take you and disrupt you.

Nikisha King:

You are not meant to hustle for breadcrumbs. You were not given a skill, a talent, an immense value for breadcrumbs. You were meant for more. You were made to stand tall in your magic and build something that sustains you. Did you hear what I said? You were built for magic and something that sustains you. Breadcrumbs will not sustain you. Breadcrumbs cannot help you or the people you love.

Nikisha King:

So many amazing, creative business owners undercharge or stay vague because they're afraid of being too much, they're afraid of being too big. There is no such thing as too big. If you understand your purpose, if you are clear with your purpose, people will demand a lot of you or people will be demanding of you. You get to set the rules to that demand. No one else can. And here's the thing If you can show up in your life like this, the people around you will benefit so much more than they benefit from the place of. This is too much. That mindset is so limiting, constricting. It's something I no longer understand. But don't get me twisted and don't get me wrong. I am very aware of that limiting mindset. I lived it for over 30 years and then I wanted it to stop.

Nikisha King:

But let me tell you, a focused offer is magic. It is magnetic. It is a thing that once you say those couple words, people hold on to for a lifetime and they cannot get you out of their mind. You are magnetic, my friend. It gives people something solid to say yes to. It gives people hope for transformation. It gives people the chance to find a solution to the pain that they no longer want to live with. You have that gift. You have that magic. What are you going to do about it? Your people are ready. They're waiting. Give them something clear, beautiful and effective to invest in. Give them an opportunity for change. Be that for them, just like others have been for you, just like others have been for you. Don't be selfish. Be giving.

Nikisha King:

So if you're feeling like this is something that hits you in your gut and right now you might need a little help in your messaging, I gave you a clear call to action to make your messaging clear and simple. Define the problem that you're solving, create a result focused transformation, name it, price it and package it. I gave you everything, but sometimes it doesn't feel enough. It feels like I need a little bit more help. Nikisha, I get the theory, but I want to know the how.

Nikisha King:

If that is you, right now you have the opportunity to click in that show note and schedule a call with me. A call, any call you schedule with me, is not a sales call, but it's an opportunity to learn about you, and if I can help. You don't get me twisted. I will offer you my help. You have an option to say no. I'm going to always offer it. You can say yes and have a transformation, or you can say no and remain where you are. No matter what you choose, it is your power, it is your choice always.

Nikisha King:

But here's the thing being an iconic woman CEO is not about being stuck. It is about taking the power you have and making a choice to get you from point A to point B. And sometimes you need to tap someone in for some help, cause I remember tap, tap, baby. I've been tapping since 2021. Tap, I need help, tap, I need help, and I want you to have the same thing as well. Thank you for joining me today on Leading Her Way podcast. I hope those three steps the third one has three things in it. I hope those help you to get where you need to go and if you need a little bit more, you know what to do. Take action, my beautiful, amazing, iconic women CEO, have an amazing day and I'll see you soon.
